Technical Specifications This model was originally designed for the increased requirement of a heavy duty computer printout disintegrator. It is twice the Model 750 in most aspects. The Model 1500 can accept thickness up to 200 loose sheets of paper and all other materials such as microfilm, X-Ray film, motion picture film, credit cards, etc. The feed throat on a Model 1500 is 500mm wide by 300mm high. The large size is not so much for thickness but for accessibility to feed crumpled or loose papers. Batch feeding microfilm is another use. The SECURITY SCREEN sizes available are 3.5, 6, 9mm and larger sizes. There is no real standard, as screen size should be selected to match each application and real needs. For example, Government Agencies or customers with highly sensitive documents should utilise the 3.5mm screen, whereas most banks should use 9mm size for paper and 3.5mm for microfilm. The approximate capacity of a Model 1500 varies as to the feed material and the security screen size used as listed below: Model 1500 with 3.5mm screen - 180 kilograms per hour.
